Drake - Freak In You Remix.

I can't stop listening to this Drake take on Freak In You from PartyNextDoor's Colours 2 EP.

The part when he says "Even when I got it I just gotta keep getting it..." oooooooo!!!

What was your favorite song today? What did you have stuck in your head?

The Kendrick Lamar Takeover

Musickyle bryantComment

As far as I can see there are two reasons why Kendrick wouldn't be on your radar right now.

  1. You don't have access to the internet (How are you reading this blog post again?)
  2. You just don't like hip hop / rap music.

If neither of those thing apply to you then by now you've heard "Humble" and "The Heart Part 4". You've probably even seen the video for "Humble". If you haven't here it is:

There are some amazing shots in this video, some really cool editing and videography techniques, but who is Kendrick talking about? His lyrics seem to be going after someone, or everyone, but certainly no one.

Listen to the song "The Heart Part 4" and listen to the aggression in his words.

There is a lot of speculation that Kendrick is talking about Big Sean, though his feud with Drake is well documented as well. Who do you think he is talking about?

More importantly, the final line of the song says "Ya'll 'til April the 7th to get your shit together". Well today is April 7th. Does that mean we get new music from Kendrick Lamar today?

After taking over the rap world this week I can only hope the answer is yes.
